Terrorism.. as terrifying as it gets...

26/11/2009... the day India changed the way it looked at terrorism.. my question why so late? why didn't we open our eyes to terrorism when bombs went up in mumbai, delhi, jaipur, ahmedabad, bengaluru, assam, millions of explosions - encounters happening everyday in kashmir, didn't those lives matter to anyone? i am not saying, for me, lives lost in mumbai terror attacks on 26/11 don't mean anything. But the row picked up this importance so late, in fact so very late that it just questions me 'how long do you think this is going to last?'.
Its just the idea that anyone can just walk in and shoot around in the financial capital of India, normal-ism is no more evident.. there is no structure and people cannot digest it. Before 26/11 there was at least a structure, a set pattern and there was some elements of normal-ism associated with these attacks. Quoted on TV : "its normal, people will start blaming each other and soon everything would be as earlier" by a family after the Delhi bomb blasts. Whereas after mumbai terror the mood was different , quoted : "Enough is Enough, War is ON" was the agitation that aroused.
I personally feel the attack was imminent on us.. it was impending on us.. the limits to which we can tolerate with people's life were to be reached.. may be this was the eye opener, this unusual and terrifying attack of mutiny and cruelty is what we were waiting and i hope that all that we have to wait for.
There were days in my life when i thought 'an Israel' is what we should do. But lately i feel 'then whats the difference between us and the terrorists' and such an act i presume will aggravate the issue further and lead to more unhappy Muslims who might resort to terror. I personally feel they should be dealt with in a way which neither so impotent like what India all this while has been doing or as aggressive as Israel. May be there is a solution to this and someone is working towards it. I myself would want to be part of it, so as a necessary step towards taking up responsibility i have decided no matter what i will vote this year and will pursue my friends to follow suit and do the right thing!
My wish is that Kasab, the terrorist, be punished in such a way that tomorrow no one be it muslim or a hindu or a jew or a christian or sikh even think of taking a gun in his hand. He (by he i mean the terrorist who now has a face of a 22 yrs old) should be shown the fate of millions who he made homeless, orphan and crippled and do it to him and his family, just make him realize nothing good is going to happen to him and his family for such acts of SIN and no Quran, No Bible nor Geetha propogate taking lives as a solution to anything under the sky. He should not be allowed to get away at any cost. I guess my frustration took control of me for a while there, but i firmly believe that its time to do the RIGHT THING!
In the name of HUMANITY!

  1. This post somehow takes me back to our days in SIMS when the disaster happened,it was terrifying ...but i remember feeling proud of our NSG's ....there is a part of human nature that shines brilliantly in the middle of pain n scare....maybe these disasters mark that....Your post echoes a lot of my thoughts n questions....most of them r still unanswered.....but maybe we'll al know when the time is right...that what reli is the right thing to do....but then again...is it right to keep waiting for the right time?! hope we find an answer soon..
